It’s getting close to the start of the new season and I thought I’d kick off this bit of fun. So the rules are as follows: NL1 champions NL1 playoffs x4 clubs(Marske United are ineligible for promotion) NL1 relegations x2 clubs NL2 champions NL2 playoffs x4 clubs NL2 relegation zone x3 clubs
My predictions: NL1 champions: Shildon NL1 playoffs: Redcar Athletic, Kendal Town, Boro Rangers & Newcastle Blue Star NL1 relegations: Tow Law Town & Northallerton Town NL2 champions: Darlington Town NL2 playoffs: CLS Town, Yarm & Eaglescliffe, Billingham Synthonia & Horden Community Welfare NL2 relegation zone: Washington, CLS United, Sunderland West End

IF Marske united finish in the top 5 will the 6th place team be able to enter the playoffs. The playoffs are allowed to go down as far as 7th. So if Marske and another club who were ineligible(haven’t passed the ground grading for step 5 after promotion from step 6 for instance).

I'm reserving judgement until I've seen a few psfs.
Even after 8 years up here I still haven't got to know players and managers histories so I can judge who is a duffer and who is a real talent, a work in progress for me

I'm reserving my views until the season starts. There's too many changes of players and management teams to guess at the moment. What I've read so far suggests some of last season's higher placed/playoff teams could struggle to be contenders next time around.

But, no bets are ever placed after the start. Players and management come & go throughout a season.

Most folk who waited for the season to start last time round believe it or not said well I think Blyth Town will go up and blue star will finish in the play offs. Well knock me down with a feather.

I know it is early days but as they have signed a few players who played in their side last season, I expect Tow Law to struggle and if it’s correct that Northallerton are signing a few from the Wearside League, I expect them to struggle as well
