Looking at last nights results its going to be a long hard and desperate season for Whitley Bay and Crook! As an add on Bishops beat Billingham Synthonia 2-1 last night at Stockton Town. Holdsworth and Hackett with Bishops goals. By all accounts throwing quite a bit of cash around at crook now. Can’t really judge from pre season really

Holdsworth and Hackett with Bishops goals. Season defining games already when players may not be around. Having watched a lot of division one last season I think any team that are well organised and physically strong and fit have a chance. I only saw three decent footballing sides last season (Bishops, Shildon and Guisborough). Obviously, whilst saying this, I did not see teams every week so it is subjective. Amongst the others who were up there I saw hard work and lots of effort. As I have said anyone who can get a fit and strong group of players together who work hard can get close to the play offs.

Whitley Bay will finish nearer the bottom than the top. A fish rots from the head.

Whitley Bay will finish nearer the bottom than the top. A fish rots from the head. Jay Bates has a group of players who will no doubt join him at Whitley bay. It’s West Allotment that could struggle imo

It’s West Allotment that could struggle imo There have been good managers who've under achieved before him, and West weren't much better than Whitley last season to begin with imo, but there's always a chance things might finally click for someone. Clubs like Heaton and Birtley have absolutely shown Whitley up on recent years by going about things the right way (and polar opposite way to how Whitley seem to do everything).

If Redcar Athletic don't get promoted and win every game with the cash been thrown around it will be a travesty

If Redcar Athletic don't get promoted and win every game with the cash been thrown around it will be a travesty No team will win every game imo. Although I agree it would be a travesty if they don’t win the league with the reported budget they have. My concern for them would be can they sustain the budget if the main contributor ever pulls out. Not like it hasn’t happened before to other clubs .

NL1 - Redcar Athletic NL1 Playoffs - West Auckland, Boro Rangers, Blyth Town and I think Blue Star be up there NL1 Relegation zone - Tow Law Town & Northallerton Town
NL2 Champs - Synners (Have to back ourselves) NL2 Play-offs - Bedlington Terriers, CLS Town, Horden CW, Ryton & Crawcrook NL2 Relegation Zone - Grangetown BS, Washington, CLS United
This is an early prediction and a lot can change, so just need to see what goes on. I honestly think Synners have the best 10 and 9 in the league who will do a lot of damage, but want to see what Jarvie at Darlo Town does.

If Redcar Athletic don't get promoted and win every game with the cash been thrown around it will be a travesty Redcar will be in same position as bishop last year who got together a good squad of players of who dont want and/or cannot commit to travel and performed well in the league and contributed to bishop acheiving there ambitions then moved on after acheiving it. . if redcar Win the league they will have to replace them again as they will want to stay localised. part of the cycle i guess. Not a complaint just a observation and ive no doubt each player will of made it crystal clear if go up they wont be .

Surely most players have more ambition than that and would want to play at th highest standard possible if allowed, ie- good enough?
