you’re not wrong. They’ve blown a gasket on their Facebook page Who on earth do they expect to get swapped with? I think if I were in their shoes I’d be suggesting Pickering Town move back to the Northern League. Glossop North End as the most easterly club in the North West Counties League go into the Northern Counties East League in place of Pickering, leaving a slot for Kendal to stay in the North West Counties. It’s a long shot, but I do think geographically Kendal are getting quite a raw deal being moved into the Northern League.

Where did that go fund me money go? Be giving them a sound footing for when they kick off the season in NL 1. Nice little plan that's going accordingly at the minute. As that go-fund me money was to keep them going till the end of the season which they never did it should have been returned

Doubt it. Just seen a post on FB by a Marske fan saying great news now let's get back to where we should be. I nearly fell over. Where do you class as where you should be you were in the Northern premier league but blew your money decieved the fans lied to everyone else until forced to tell the truth then asked to call it a day halfway through the season yet this is where you claim you should be. Unbelievable.

Unbelievable. Its all a mystery and stunts like Marske pulled really puts you off donating to other clubs in the future. Some clubs in genuine trouble could loose out as a result

As expected Blue Star go up. Makes the play offs in division 2 a bit pointless. Still dont agree with Marske being in Div 1. poor decision. Kendal are very unhappy judging by twitter. Be interesting to see what happens with that If Blue star had won playoff then Easington wouldn’t have went up on ppg ruling. Every now and then a club gets a bit of good fortune , Easington are a good club so it was good they won imo as it gets 2 promoted .

As that go-fund me money was to keep them going till the end of the season which they never did it should have been returned I’d maybe get facts correct before posting on here. £120K was what was needed to get to the end of the season. When they resigned around £30K was raised via the GoFundMe. The money was used to pay players for wages owed, and to creditors for loan, transfer fees etc as well as travel costs outstanding. The players were then all released from their contracts and free to join other clubs. There has been no holding back of the GoFundMe funds and NL1 is expected to be a struggle looking on Facebook. The club have made it clear that the new regime will strive towards promotion when a sustainable footing is in place. These facts are all available if you look in the correct place, instead of simply assuming what happened and running with it. The club had absolutely no say in which division they are placed in, and this sort of issue regards divisional placement occurs every year. There’s always going to be somebody complaining. Again, if you look at Facebook, a few supporters have suggested NL2 was expected, and NL1 will be a struggle. Things may have gone tits up in the past, but the club is clearly trying to rebuild for the future on a sound footing, as they should do.

So your trying to shoot people down who've had an opinion on here but are obviously wrong. Have you shot down those folk who you've said are fans on Facebook who said they expected to be coming back into division 2 after all there clearly wrong or is it just selective as to who you get at.

Just to reiterate something I posted on the forum a couple of weeks ago. Marske United are ineligible for promotion next season and this is a fact. Any club that resigns, fails the ground grading and are demoted(unless that club then passes the grading by 31st March the following season)are classified as ineligible for promotion under all circumstances.

It's hardly "getting at" you though, is it? You've made your feelings pretty clear about it all, more than once, and in much harsher tones than the previous post which you feel "got at" you. We get it, you don't like what's happened, neither do any of us who support Marske but you're really starting to look like you've got an agenda here.

So the 30K raised wasn't done so to save the Club? It was raised to pay players and transport etc. The players then left and the Club quit.
Great to see the new regime are doing things correct and are trying to find their feet. No one wants to see a great Club like Marske go under but I feel the fans should try to remain humble until at least the new season starts.

Noooooo who'd do that.

Now the allocations have been done by the fa and all the fallout been talked about with Marske and kendal naking div 1 up to 22 teams. What happens if newton aycliffe fail the ground grading at the end of the month and are relegated . Do they come back to div 1 and make it 23 teams or will the fa move someone laterally

If the players and creditors had not been paid when they were, the club would’ve folded totally and they would’ve no longer been allowed to be called Marske United, and would’ve likely started from the bottom of the Teesside League/North Riding etc. They didn’t so the club lives on, hence them not ‘starting from the bottom’ like some seem to be obsessed over, so as a result they’re taking the FA ruling 2 division drop (albeit this was the minimum drop). This ‘holding back’ of crowdfunded money is utter BS. There is a new committee with new directors on board, who are nothing to do with the previous regime. But I see these people who think the club tactically got demoted just to rise again immediately, have gone quiet. So whatever. 👍 as mentioned, the new chairman has made clear they’ll be operating on sustainable and self-funded budgets going forward. As said, the info is all there on the club website and socials, but speculating and drawing alternative conclusions is more fun.
