From the outside looking in its a pretty obvious case of not living within your means and it catching up. They should be put in the North Riding IMO taking the place of their reserve team. The league cant continue to let teams have a few weeks out just because they have overspent without any punishment. North Shields and Brandon have had 6/8 weeks to pool money, bring in new players and get the begging bowls out without any sanctions. The league have now made a rod for their own back, any team moving forward can just tell the league they are struggling, Have 6 weeks off, get things sorted and start again. Absolute farce. Yeah other clubs will now think the leagues a easy ride and throw the towel in easily and just bail out instead of seen continuing with some heavy defeats. Credit to tow law at least they have kept going, infact n shield should be relegated instead of them

Wearside league. Why the Northern league. Didn't think you could pick and choose to be honest. Put them back in the NL2 and there only 3 promotions off being back to where it all went tits up. Can they afford the Northern league or will they do a North Shields and all of a sudden as if by magic find money from somewhere. Stinking some of the stuff that goes in these leagues. Punish the clubs that don't cut there cloth. Looks like North Shields have gone unpunished no fines points deduction or nothing. Just spunk all your money on players have six weeks off then get back to me when your ready. Honking. Sewage smells better. Just seen the team north shields have got out tonight. How they've gone from not having a pot to piss in to putting that team out tonight is miraculous. There's not a chance there doing it for next to nowt. These chancers have conned the league and the league have rolled over and had there bellies tickled. For this to happen without a fine or points deduction is an absolute debacle. The league should be embarrassed 100% not fair on clubs who do things properly and to add to that it's a bigger kick in the balls for the opposition they've bluffed recently who they were meant to play. N shields have taken the wee and likes of tow law and rca must be peed off after soldering on

Very well ran league may I add teams getting fined for late teamsheets missing a refs mark and stuff like it. Then you've got this shit show of a league letting a club off who've failed to fulfill God knows how many fixtures. Nowt not a penny and like you've said others who are on there arse have got on with it. North shields should have done what RCA were forced to do previous and put a reserve side out. Any team that wants a free weekend now for whatever reason should be allowed it no ifs buts fines or anything.

There's a Fans Forum meeting in the clubhouse tomorrow night at 6pm, which is hopefully going to be at least the start of finding out just what the hell has happened to us. The past few weeks have been awful and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Oh to be a fly on the wall in that room. You want to hope it's not more lies there spouting. Feel free to fly in, meeting is open to all.

What was marske averaging in the northern premier? 300-400 usually, the average was skewed by the final match against Morpeth when 1200 showed up.

We were taking about this today at Ferryhill Athletic. The consensus seems to be North Riding League they should replace there reserves. I don't think it's right to put them in the Northern League.

If they were a reformed club, I’d stick them in the NRL. But they aren’t and I reckon they’ll end up in the NL2.

If they were a reformed club, I’d stick them in the NRL. But they aren’t and I reckon they’ll end up in the NL2. Why? What’s the reasoning? Because I don’t think a reformed club has the same identity. It may do in the eyes of those associated with the club. There are precedents set by the FA league committee for placing clubs that have resigned from higher up the pyramid, at the bottom of the pyramid the following season. The bottom of the pyramid is step 6. There’s a possibility that they may be placed at step 5 and this is to do with the possibility that the NL1 could have 19 clubs next season(2 promotions to the NPL1E, 1 relegation to NL2 and 2 promotions into the NL1 from NL2). Whilst the NL2 could potentially have 22 clubs again next season and that’s without Marske being placed into that division.
