It will never fail a league inspection. One of Mike Amos favourite little grounds when he was in charge. To the point he actively looked for a club he could fail on ground grading to save them when they finished bottom. Whitehaven were the unlucky club. Finished mid table and were relegated instead of Esh Winning because the window on the payment hatch was a fraction of an inch too big. Got it in one. Absolutely stinking.

Not sure on the rules and there might have been good on after but nothing for sale before the game, I was gutted, I hadn’t had my tea before I left home!! Ha Tends to be garbage at that level anyway, i rarely bother, would rather eat in local pub, cafe or takeaway used to be a excellent old school fish and chip shop in esh winning A bit wide for of the mark with food comments. The food at NL grounds now is way better than a few years back with the exception of Esh. I’ve no complaints on any I’ve tasted at any. Esh has always had poor food opinions if they bother to put anything on. Cold burgers the norm .

It looked like dog food with a strange red oily substance oozing out of it (and no it wasn't blood, it was too thick for that) Unbeknownst to me, the burgers there had been ridiculed on was of those 'football food' social media pages. Had I seen it I wouldn't have bought it.

There are some volunteers at certain clubs who pride themselves in what they knock up food wise and a lot of it is good stuff at a reasonable price.

You will have to tell me where these clubs have, ive had so much bad grub at northern league and football in general i barely bother, tinned burgers, manky hotdogs and stale pies. Best ive had has to be harrogate in there national league days: spicy fries, homeade burger and mad and cheese spring rolls, closely followed by roast potatoes and chilli at halifax

Steak burger, beef burgers, hot dogs, pies, chips (curry sauce / gravy) ect.

Food does seen better when its either caterers operating the kiosks or some sort of food van there

To be fair it's not just some non league grub that's horrendous. Look at some of the stuff that gets posted on social media about some top flight clubs and it's three times the price. Like I say some clubs pride themselves on match day bait and some don't.

Had I seen it I wouldn't have bought it. Those were tinned Westler Burgers. Ideally clubs shouldn't really need gourmet food, but clubs shouldn't be selling things like that at NPL east level. Most clubs now have passable options, I've even had decent burgers and chips in Division Two. Always found the food at Willington nice. Worst I had was a borderline raw burger from a food truck at Blyth Spartans, had stomach cramp days after. As for Esh, I had a nice slice of Goodfellas pizza there last season with Brandon United.

Aye blyth was garbage, same as rank burger van at kiddrninster who used to do excellent food until the new owners got shot of the family that ran the catering for 50 year. Clubs must loose a fortune doing such awful food when so many boycott it but a win for local businesses though

Esh 2 Chester 1. A really bad game of football and a clubhouse with no food. Not the best night. Its up there with the worst places to go for a match in the northern league, so old fashioned. Still can`t pay with card for a drink, no food. Not been improved at all in years, no wonder they dont attract people to watch. The path from car park to clubhouse is an absolute disgrace especially in the dark. Not one to slag clubs off, but it’s not a surprise that some of these clubs get poor attendances
