I know for a fact there's over 150 players in the Northern League on more than 100. I have also heard that Hebburn, Morpeth, Ashington, Stockton and Bishop's have bigger budgets than Blyth Not sure about ashington as the manager last season said said they were run on a sensible footing due to nearly going out of business not so long back Ashington are probably still doing that. But Blyth apparently have a small budget for the league, now if they get July and 8 players that may change but who knows But I expect them to be gone within a few years

Out of touch with wages at Northern premier level now but is £100 a week not a bit low? Sure seems odd players been on that with a high profile manager there I know for a fact there's over 150 players in the Northern League on more than 100. I have also heard that Hebburn, Morpeth, Ashington, Stockton and Bishop's have bigger budgets than Blyth Can't speak for the other clubs, but Ashington pay a fraction of what you 'claim to know for a fact'. We weren't paying big money when we got promoted, we didn't last year and we won't be next year again. Whether that's more or less than what Spartans are paying I'd have no idea. And neither do you.

Even more players have left now, with no one new coming in, along with rumors of open trials at Croft Park whilst Irfan Liaquat's twitter has disappeared.

Is the plan to destroy the club so a profitable deal can be done on ground development or the suchlike I think Spartan fans need to organise now!

Yes i think you are right that the council do indeed own the ground which makes me think what is in it for the current owners if they are running it into the deck, chancers out of there depth?

If someone has about 10 or so inactive companies at one address where they're a single board member, especially if it's just a rental office then they're a wrong un. Same as Cala at Gateshead and Coxall at Pools. Chris Tanner formerly of Durham City is also a fan of this I think, he owns a PO box in Qatar if I remember rightly.

If an internet journo can find this stuff out, how come existing owners fail to do some basic checking before selling up cause sure as hell a shyster is not putting up his own cash!

I asked myself this thousands of times over Hodcroft at Pools, in fact, fraudsters almost bought us before Coxall did. The Hereford one was the weirdest, the owner was this old bloke from Hereford who actually played for them and claimed to support them, yet gave away the club for a quid to a London based chancer who killed the club. I suppose if owners can get out scot free it's a case of stuff everyone else.

How many times in the past have these sort of takeovers gone tits up. What I don't get is why Blyth have thought differently. From the very beginning it all looked to good to be true. I'm sorry to say to the fans but you've been had here folks. Doomed is the word. Like someone has stated a little bit of homework would have nailed this. Northern league beckons.
