Another long term player departure in Rhys Evans, and to make it an even bigger sting he's gone to Morpeth. No retained list. No communication, whats going on? Always had a soft for Spartans (well excluding that night in the fa cup in 2014!!!).

JJ O’Donell offered £100 a week new contract. Looks absolutely shocking if true. Take on a high profile unproven manager then this . Laughable to say the least.

If I was fans I'd be arranging a Supporters Trust with the long term aim of owning the club.

Out of touch with wages at Northern premier level now but is £100 a week not a bit low? Sure seems odd players been on that with a high profile manager there

Your players at bishops wouldn’t get out of bed for that amount a week Premium players, premium club, premium to pay. When you get a club like blyth offering Players £100 per week it’s obvious they want the player out. Honesty is the best policy, just don’t offer anything and put them on the released list instead of giving contract offers which are an insult to the player, especially someone that puts so much back into the community as the lad in question . Stinks

Sure seems odd players been on that with a high profile manager there I know for a fact there's over 150 players in the Northern League on more than 100. I have also heard that Hebburn, Morpeth, Ashington, Stockton and Bishop's have bigger budgets than Blyth

Stinks True, age and injury have caught up with jj but hes had a few seasons at blyth and deserves better. Could still cut it at northern league, maybe even northern premier east

Just the two more seasons then Blyth Spartans will be in the Northern league. I said at the time of that takeover it had disaster written all over it. I stand by my words. It's a shame but this is going to end in tears.
