When we lost to shildon I still had faith they'd slip up mate.they had 3 awful away games and birtley at home.plus they were on this amazing run.however one thing you can guarantee with an amazing run is that at some point its no longer going to be amazing

But I’ve always had a sneaky suspicion that Heaton Stan were the dark horse and fan base wise, they can definitely sustain step 4 football. |

As for the play offs.why would it be so shocking if west birtley or Heaton beat either of us.especually when everyone but west shattered on legs.however west will be rusty as hell so 2 extremes.for me though I'd prefer both bishop and Shildon to go up.extra travel as we know so having 4 proper derbies,with Aycliffe would be good

I'd hope they could sustain it,but same as birtley they've come a long way in a short space of time.higher up pyramid darlington have same dilemma. Personally though again like handifan I'm not a great fan of ground grading at level 4.aycliffe get 125 other night and ground not upto scratch but it would be ok holding 1300 against vd athletic in fa vase semis.stupidity |

And you also have to remember northern league 15/20 year ago was npl1 level so surely grounds should be a pretty similar level

Enjoy the presentation of the league trophy if you managed to get to a game this season that is .stop being a keyboard warrior in your basement.and actually try and take in what other teams have achieved over the past 10 seasons. No matter how this season pans out I am very happy of what we have achieved this season . To come up through the playoffs and have the season we having is very satisfying especially with the problems we have had with the drainage. To have only had 3 games postponed is quite an achievement in itself. Putting those problems aside it’s been one hell of a season for us. Well done to champions elect Bishops who are by far the best footballing side we have faced this season.

There was mention of him potentially returning for the playoffs. But we look odds on for automatic now and Warne wants him to experience pressure games and he’ll get that in the National League playoffs. Not too sure what they’ll do with him next season. It would be nice if Gateshead beat the odds and go up and he can gain more experience at the higher level. |

Yesterdays results have defo helped.
no shame in losing up heaton they beat us up there.
For the middle aged like me just seeing a competitive side again refreshing and trying to hold the buzz until its done !
