I notice games being played at the Ford and Washington Hub's, with Football Foundation funding, these facility's cannot hire out to one off games such as these, this my understanding and reinforced by the terms and conditions on the foundation's website. Maybe i have over looked something or someone can clarify accordingly.

Maybe i have over looked something or someone can clarify accordingly. Ford Quarry is a step 6 graded ground so can be used. Durham Challenge cup requires clubs to have floodlights and step 6 ground . They allow step 7 clubs to enter but if they don’t have floodlights and are drawn at home then they have to play the game at opponents ground. In the case of Leam v Esh , Esh refused to switch the fixture so Leam booked a step 6 facility which is within the rules. Why Esh didn’t swap venues is a strange one. Maybe they thought they would have been awarded the game. Washington Hub is not step six so they can’t be used as far as I know

Bigcbeat1
Both hubs cannot hire out the facility, strict governing rule from the Football Foundation, to secure funding, their website makes this crystal clear.

Why Esh didn’t swap venues is a strange one. Maybe they thought they would have been awarded the game. These mid week cups can easily be a loss maker for home clubs who get smaller crowds. Not sure how a switched fixture would work in terms of expenses etc, but usually for the home club you'd have to pay out the referee fees, away team travel, and hospitality. This on top of the normal expenses of running the facility and having to split the gate 'profit' with the away team.

So the hubs aren't allowed to hire out their pitches? How are they supposed to run a business then, give people access for free??

So basically these clubs that use these hubs in whatever league they play in are getting this for free. Or is that incorrect. To add to that i wouldnt have them anywhere near the northern league. Awful.

That was the problem with the mini league format that they tried to implement a couple of season ago. The idea was that more games = more opportunities to make more money, when in reality it was the complete opposite.

Hubs cannot hire out the facility if funded by the Football Foundation, Andypool take time to look at the foundations website, stipulated quite clearly cannot facility hire.
User level agreement for those who use the facility and they are given time slots etc, basically as defined on the football foundation agreement.

I wasn't that interested to be honest, it just seemed you have a specific gripe with one off hub bookings, so thought you may want to elaborate a little.

I've had a look on the website and I can't see anywhere that says facilities funded by the Football Foundation can't be hired out. Can you link to the correct page? It would be a very bizarre requirement if true.
