FA have introduced a £12 administration fee for Sin Bin offences, previously there was no charge for these, although they did register on a Club misconduct & respect record. Also, a Sin Bin yellow card will now be the same as a normal yellow card, i.e. a sin bin + a normal yellow (or even 2 Sin Bins) equals a red card. A Sin Bin is now more punishable than a normal yellow, the player still gets the yellow but also gets the 10 minutes "period of reflection".

Also heard from a referee another rule change, any accidental or deliberate handball outside the box is a straight red... FA must be saving up for their monthly jolly up again,,

Looks to be right. Deliberate handball in penalty box, denying goal or obvious goalscoring opportunity is deemed a caution & penalty kick. Accidental handball outside penalty box denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity is deemed a sending off

Sending-off offences
A player, substitute or substituted player who commits any of the following offences is sent off:
denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by committing a deliberate handball offence (except a goalkeeper within their penalty area) denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by committing a non-deliberate handball offence outside their own penalty area

So another can of worms opened, another rule that is at the referees discretion. another rule where sometimes it will be given sometimes it wont.

I'm not sure if the second change is needed as there has been a marked reduction in dissent at the step 5 and 6 games I've been to

The addition of a fee of £12 won't help cash-strapped club's and a fee for this type of offence should be paid by the player imo.

What will happen in reality, majority of ref's will be less likely to use it and it'll get forgotten about except in severe cases. I think sin bins are a great idea, in my time playing there was very few occasions I was surprised by who got sin binned, it was always the mouthpiece going about it the wrong way.

I’ve been opposed to sin bins from the very start. The laws of the game should be enforced not watered down. If an infringement is made then the official should deal with it as they see fit not give a time out on the naughty step.
And now a spell on the naughty step will cost £12 same as a caution?
So basically the team gets punished more so than the player getting a caution, I thought the purpose of sin bins was to lessen dissent while being used as a deescalating tool? Now it’s more impactful than a yellow!
The FA lining their pockets once again.
