Ashington. Have announced the signing of Matty Slocombe from Consett. A strange signing. Way past his best. Going to be a struggle for Ashington it appears looking a their defeat on Saturday against Northern League opposition West Auckland. I have to agree. Last time I seen him play shadow of his former self . Class in his day .but looking desperately sad for ashington way better players around!

Ashington have announced the signing of Paddy Almond following some very impressive preseason performances.
Paddy’s former clubs include Darlington, Shildon, Whitley Bay and Sunderland for whom he played against Manchester Utd’s u-23’s in the EFL Trophy.

Quite slow and sluggish whenever I have seen him play. Certainly wasn't slow or sluggish against Spennymoor. The ball bobbled and he miscontrolled it putting the Spenny striker though. Before the striker got a touch on it Paddy'd recovered and won it back. He was like shit off a stick

Ashington have signed former Newcastle Utd Academy striker Michael Ndiweni
The 20 year old striker made his first team debut for Newcastle United on 25 November 2023, appearing as a second-half substitute in a 4-1 home win against Chelsea at St James' Park.
