Disgraceful scenes tonight from both sets of fans. Spoilt a big occasion. I too heard a lot of whispers tonight that Blue Star will be going up anyway as one of the 6 best placed teams from level 6. Makes the play offs a waste of time if that's the case. I personally am against reprieves and have always said that extra promotions should be offered. Now the FA rules & regulations state that bottom placed sides can't be reprieved. This season only the bottom placed sides at step 5 are relegated(unless there's a club in that step 5 divisions, who have resigned or will be demoted). So the only way to resolve this is by promoting extra clubs from step 6. Prior to the playoffs, I thought the FA would promote the champions and the 6 best runners up on a ppg basis then go forward with the playoffs. But the Hellenic league finished their playoffs before most leagues had completed their seasons. The FA promoted a team either last season or the one before, because they were the best ppg losing playoff finalist. So that's why these 6 golden tickets are likely going to be available. The FA meeting is today I believe and the NCEL1 playoff final is Saturday. But both clubs already believe that they're promoted being one of the lucky 6.

Shouldn't be getting beat in a play off final then going up anyway because of a golden ticket. I know Tow Law went up when Ryhope folded fair does but this other thing just makes a mockery of the play offs. You might aswell just say the top two go up and if there's room for anymore we will let you know.

Which puts them as one of the teams with the highest PPG. I

That’s why I don’t understand why the FA didn’t automatically promote the 6 clubs(if that’s what they’re going to do) prior to the playoffs & in those 6 particular leagues they should’ve had 3at to 6th compete in the playoffs. I’m sure most people would prefer to see extra promotions over reprieves(especially bottom placed sides).

Don’t know if they are all finished even now

In the feeder leagues, the WMRL could be sorted tonight and that’s the end of any games that affect promotion.

Isn’t that because if blue star had of won, then one of the 6 golden tickets wouldn’t have then went to easington. It may have went to a different league.

I’ve just spoken with a NWCL official and Stockport Town are another golden ticket winner and have asked if they are definitely promoted. The league emailed the FA and it’s pretty silent. He did say that he’d heard that the FALC meeting is the 16th(but he may be wrong). So if he’s correct, then expect the constitutions next Friday imo.

Anyone know why the blue star game got delayed so many times? See the video on Youtube, young ferals running wild and just like a fairly recent Vase Final immature adults using Newcastle v Sunderland “rivalry” as an excuse to drag their six knuckles along the ground. Would think the authorities will take action and play offs from now on will have to be all ticket to control the amount of people attending in safety.

Exactly the same chant & behaviour as on Saturday from the young lads - now they are kids so latitude but the club knew about it cos a lady from the club came and spoke to them [but mainly to a bloke who was swearing at them] but then at the end another lady came & gave them all a packet of crisps and they joined the team celebrating on the pitch. This by the way also witnessed, I think, by Northern league officals Really NOT a good idea to allow under 16s free on own [fine if with an accompanying adult] Beer bottles all over & pyro agogo. Police in profusion at the end tho I didn't see any actual trouble Northern league flagship event lol youtu.be/q1Me2zsuC-k?si=s_i7xfC39bNU516YLunatics. Both sets of supporters

Seems to be the norm now sadly, saw it at Whickham FC against Newton Aycliffe in the DCC, Whickham kids throwing flares on the pitch and even trying to throw stones at Aycliffe bus post game. Just no need.

Both sets of supporters Adam Pearson is one of the biggest wind up merchants going. The kid is a whopper well and truly. Don't think he deserved that much abuse but when he gives it out on twitter then he gets a bit back in return he just blocks people. Shite house.

So what are the actual consequences to the clubs whose fans set off pyrotechnics now? Is it reliant on the ref to report it to FA or is it the leagues job? Is there a potential fine?
