Very enjoyable evening at Esh. Not played as a meaningless end of season one at all and my mate won the raffle.
I also will finish the season not having seen a 0-0 as the Worthing play off final on Monday will have penalties at least if not goals in normal time

I went to RCA v North Shields tonight.
I’ve seen maybe 50 NL games across the 2 divisions this season. That was comfortably one of the worst in terms of quality. It’s not hard to see why they are down the wrong end of the table. They would both struggle in Div 2 based on tonight’s performance.
I’d be interested if any RCA or Shields fans are on here how that compares to previous performances this season?

Folk normally get shot down on here though for telling the truth about North Shields.

The game was utterly awful. Was not easy to play on a very difficult pitch A draw was a fair result Credit must be given to RCA, they have lost 19 games in a row, have a goal difference of -131, and have the second worst record , 4 points, in English football (around 930 teams) , next to Bishop Sutton 3 points They had a strong team spirit, never stopped running for a second, and with a bit of luck could have won the game.Shields could have played all night and they would never have scored Shields have had a very troubled season,in December they lost their entire playing staff except for one player, and their management team left They have no reserve team or junior team, so had to recruit a new team comprising of youngsters and older players who were not getting selected for their team , mainly from Blue Star The aim was to see out the season, which has been achieved Where they go from here remains to be seen If they do continue as a club, I would imagine they will very much struggle next season

Whatever happens to North Shields I'm sure the league will bail them out.
