Is the ground "deemed unsuitable" due to the weather or is there something else the cause?

Is the ground "deemed unsuitable" due to the weather or is there something else the cause? The pitch was unsuitable before the bad weather. Canny playing budget. I'll leave it at that.

Exactly. Throwing money at the playing squad but nowt at the facilities or pitch. Amazed that place passed FA ground grading and they're trying for promotion??

Think the pitch would have been classed as unsuitable for the past 4 years!
Not been snobby here but their pitch has been unacceptable for some time now. I've never saw their floodlights in action (they were broke when I attended in 2022!) but I've been told they're basically useless as well. All in all with a changing room roof that fell in earlier you do have to question should this ground really be passing ground grading.

Pitch has been poor for years now. I don’t think they own a mower in Bedlington

A lot of experts on here! Are you suggesting the pitch is anything other than poor?

Oh yes the pitch and state of facilities are in dire need of upgrading - I understand the finance to do just that is in progress, but I don't have the details of the current state of play. The days of big money being spent at expense of the ground - which was a fair accusation to make during our 'glory days' - is not the case these days. Ultimately we are coming to an end of our 8th season in the Second Division (can't believe it's been that long!).
As many will be aware we went through a long period just trying to make ends meet, and the facilities further declined during that period, but there is a keenness to address that, and will be done once the money is there to do so.
