I think half the people on here know nothing about running a football club and just sit typing absolutely rubbish on topics they don't have a clue about .That is all that needs to be said What about the other half. Half the stuff on here pal is peoples opinions which believe it or not are allowed. If people just came on here and spoke facts the forum would be pointless.

I asked a reasonable question in the circumstances in good faith.
No need to get out your pram

I wonder if that will chance now. Most teams in NL1 never really thought they stood a chance, but now some well established clubs are moving up, the door has certainly opened

Just to point something out that’s been mentioned earlier in this thread. The NPL1E only has 3 clubs below Sheffield next season and they’re Belper Town, Sherwood Cols and Carlton. Hopefully in the next couple of season, the boundary will move northwards to above the M18-M180 southern line that the FA sold the NL clubs in the meeting way back when before automatic promotion was introduced. Someone wanted to know where Sherwood were from and that’s next to Mansfield.

I’ve been informed that they have failed the grading and from the information I’ve received they’ve basically done nothing. They may have been given dispensation until the end of May by the FA. If not, then welcome back to the NL. I was told that they had "begun all the preparations but had been stuffed by the wet weather in getting equipment on site as it has to cross the cricket pitches" As to how accurate this is, I've no idea or if the FA would take this into account We had to replace our paving slabs due to trip hazards and couldn’t get any machinery down to the pitch without chewing up our 3 junior pitches . We had to ask for an extension until end of May which we were given . Work on a new hard standing was completed last week and grading passed . We removed around 350 paving slabs replacing it with concrete and have extended the entire hard standing to conform the requirement for step 4. I can imagine Aycliffe will have asked for an extension for the same reason as ground would be unable to have heavy machinery due to the persistent bad weather. If finances allow we will continue improvements to eventually have a step 4 grading .
