Surely that can't be right? How can Bedford Terrace even have ground grading issues the stand is huge and it has a clubhouse?

Surely Yarm would appeal if it did happen. If Billingham entered into a ground share situation then both clubs playing on the same facility should the same period to have any required works completed. Billingham were step 5 season before last so how would it fail a Step 6 inspection. Having been there in May I can’t see how it could possibly fail.

Could be all sorts of reasons they could fail. Bearing in mind the FA are doing the inspections now, they may be more stringent than the league who were willing to let very minor things slide.

I was speaking with a senior FA ground grader from another region and he said that he doesn’t believe that the FA will demote clubs this season for failing the ground grading. The reason is how could x club who were promoted last season fail on something that might be getting sorted in the summer for instance. Yet y club who’s been at a step for years, has got a major issue that is unlikely to ever get resolved stays in a division! I’ve been told that a couple of NWCL clubs have failed on pitch size for instance. The FA would struggle against all the appeals and this might end up being kicked into the long grass for years.

Above is correct regarding the timescales given to Yarm to sort the issues, however the very minor changes needed have been made. The 'issues' included - The away dugout not being marked as away. - An exit sign needed at the main gate (the huge blue double gates at the entrance to the ground where you come in) - Yellow markings to prevent standing in front of the main stand (you know the bit that's pitch side that isn't accessible to the public )

A bent barrier and a few trip hazards on paved part of hard stand . Instead of levelling we are replacing with concrete. The worst one was changing rooms were not clean. We played a game on the Saturday the cleaner was in on the Monday as usual and had them done by the end of that day but he turned up at 9.00 and hadn’t got them done by then so it was marked up as an issue. The reports came out at the end of February which is crazy if any big issues had to be completed in 4weeks. I agree that clubs will be given till the summer to complete because the reports were out very late

The latest grading inspections by the FA have a deadline of 31/3/25
