docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uqfk5j-Vo9NSYXlXOHuEhl20VrvlxW99f6o8vLwFuYk/htmlview#gid=365519295In the link above done by PeterMiller36 on X/Twitter, he generally has a pretty spot on understanding of each steps promotion and relegation issues, so check the part it mentions steps 5/6 and scroll to the rh side and halfway down. The only unknown is how the FA league committee will deal with reprieves created by several clubs folding or resigning from the pyramid. Especially how those reprieves affect the bottom of step 5. The working assumption is that there will be no reprieves for the bottom placed step 5 clubs(which is the rules, no reprieves for bottom placed clubs). So the most likely outcome will be that the FALC will promote the losing playoff finalists with the best ppg across step 6. If that’s the case Newcastle BS will be promoted if they lose against Easington. The 2 clubs in the NCEL1 final, will both be promoted as well. One thing that the FALC never does is explain how they sort these issues out, other than stating that it’s League Committees discretion. Personally I agree with Peter and expect BS to be promoted if they lose the final.

Still no word on where Marske will go either.
I have a feeing it will be NL1 just because of the teams already in NL2. Don't agree they should be there mind.

Hoping we get the word next week, middle of May has long been the whisper. The general feeling has always been we would go into NL2, maybe at least in part because that's where Redcar Newmarket would have been promoted into had they a suitable ground but they've gone as high as they can go. As you say, logistics could mean being placed in NL1 and we will likely get horsed regularly if we are. It IS the FA we're talking about here, so we could theoretically go anywhere from NPL1 East to the North Riding 1st...

Well the last allocations (23/24 Season) was on the 15th May, wonder if we are expecting it around the same time for the 24/25 season

Be an absolute disgrace of they do put them in NL1, essentially letting them get away with it (like Shields). Should be at the very bottom of the pyramid.

The bottom of the pyramid is step 6, below this is outside the NLS and classed as feeder leagues

To clarify, rather than the formal 'pyramid' I meant to the bottom of the feeder leagues. They shouldn't be allowed to interfere with the pyramid proper for example by preventing another team from being promoted, or increasing the number of teams in that league to accommodate them alongside teams that have earned their place in a division and done everything the right way.

No teams will be denied promotion and no teams will be relegated to allow Marske to be placed at step 5 or 6. The FA rules allow clubs to drop 2 levels if they resign from a league. If there’s no space, then they will be placed at the lowest level of the pyramid and that’s step 6. Harlow resigned last season and were placed at step 6 & that’s the minimum I expect will happen to Marske. Marske will be ineligible for promotion next season at whatever level they’re placed.

Yeah pretty much, Harlow weren’t eligible this season to enter the playoffs and they pretty much did last season what Marske did this season.
