At end of the day poor officials, poor teams, it all levels itself out. I'm sure if any one side was so much better than the other they would not be sharing the points.
Two average NL sides cancelling each other out not sure that's anything out of the ordinary?

You may complain about the referee but the behaviour of the Birtley bench was the worst I've seen in years.
When a Birtley official runs on to the pitch to argue with the referee....says it all.

Ref was indeed very poor and spoiled the game.
The actions of the Birtley bench were disgraceful.

When a Birtley official runs on to the pitch to argue with the referee....says it all. you must get to many games then. I do agree our bench were ott. But Let’s have your honest opinion on the man in the middle . [/quote] Ok Referee got Birtley dive spot on Referee got Whickham dive spot on Referee got Birtley sinbin spot on At first sight he got the red card spot on but then correctly rescinded it, so that was spot on too. Birtley bench were an embarrassment. Swearing throughout, trying to intimidate the referee. I'd like to see how Durham FA look at the manager running onto the pitch to scream in the referees face. What a class act.

At the request of one of the participants I have deleted some comments, and tried to tidy this thread.

Champions 7 Sunderland rca 0 not Bishops best prefomance. Never out of first gear .sometimes overplayed with the ball . Crossbar and post took a hammering. Could of been a rugby score . Just a formality. Ps .is the league trophy presented at the first home game after it is mathematically secured or last game of the season ?

Very comprehensive from Bishops today. That's the third time we have scored 7 or more in the league this season. RCA held our for 25 minutes but like Jambon says could of been double figures but for frame of goal and a couple of good stops by the keeper.

6 of the top ten in the league above are ex - northern league. Says everything about the standard of the northern league this year. Bishops have timed it perfectly to float to the top. I think from next season promoted teams will start to struggle. However, you do have an excellent manager. BTW, Aycliffe have done brilliant this season so far. I think they didn’t win in their first 6 or 7 games and were in a relegation spot. Now in the play offs and the form team in the division having just thrashed the runaway leaders during the mid week and won today. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the best football Spenny played in the NL was when Atkinson was assistant manager, the best period in 1883 history was when Atkinson was assistant manager and the best period in Aycliffe’s history is when Atkinson is manager. He’s doing well and deservedly so.
