Why would League rearrange a visit to Pontefract on a Tuesday 5th March and Consett on a Saturday 9th March , for Ashington AFC , when they are both free to play on either date. No consideration for players and fans . Crazy. Do they not have a map of the country..

I imagine Pontefract are quite happy with the fixture, given the advantage it affords them. And I don't imagine there's much love lost following the PVZ incident when we played them at home. Unless they were willing to swap the fixture then I suppose there's little that can be done. I imagine Consett would be happy either way. Of course there shouldn't be any need for the games to be swapped as the league just needed to use common sense in the first place.

The NPL are useless.
Who knows how on God's green earth Consett can play a friendly against some American team while Ashington and Newton Aycliffe still need to play there.
And another nugget of wisdom from them. Have Newton Aycliffe and Stockton be each others bank holiday opponent. But play at Stockton (artificial) in August, and at Aycliffe (grass) in December!!! Beggars belief!
