Football can be so cruel at times.
Tow Law were 2 up early in the 2nd half, their keeper saved a pen and they still lost 3-2. They just couldn't clear their lines after half time and the subs Whickham were able to make made all the difference

Ashington brushed aside a toothless West Allotment side last night to advance to the Senior Cup semis where they will be home to either Bedlington Terriers or Newcastle United U23s.
The Colliers took an early lead, and controlled possession without creating many more opportunities in the first half. A great run by Connor Thompson was finished with a great shot which was parried by the keeper and fell at Dan Maguire's feet for a tap in
The second half continued in much the same vein until the last 10 or minutes or so when WAC managed to apply some pressure and have a couple of shots of their own which Coobe managed to deal with without much difficulty.
Not a classic game by any means, but overall we deserved the win.

Got to feel for Tow Law. So close to a result that could of given them a bit of a boost. Whilst still not picking up any points their last 2 games should give them some encouragement.

Better home performance from Northallerton last night, where their record has been dire , winning one league game since last Easter , and that was only a couple of weeks ago. Whitby fielded a strong side, and one the game in injury time with goals on 94 and 96 mins to make it 1-3 .

Just got in from the Easington game. The weather made it a difficult game but Ryton deserved the win.
A bit of a shock result

Definitely Ryton's night although their recent form, something like 18 goals with only 1 conceded in four matches suggested to me it wasn't a shock result. Easington did well to get the game on in difficult conditions.

Easington did well to get the game on in difficult conditions. When i say surprise result i don't necessarily mean the win for Ryton, More the scoreline. They certainly look to have turned a corner and are being a lot more consistent in recent weeks.
