Bishop 4 Boldon 1.. few changes from the blues and a young Boldon side who played some good football . A Dean Thexton hatrick and a unusual goal from Dane Burlace .linesman flaged for a offside before the lad had touched the ball and Burlace ran though to score while all players had stopped .bit harsh. But ill take it !

But ill take it ! That fourth goal was absolutely embarrassing on behalf of the officials. It didn't change the outcome of the winners or anything like that but when that sort of thing happens against you it's not nice. The linesman flagged for good reason simply because there's a blatant offside the referee then looks like he's playing some advantage for Bishop Auckland absolute shambles. When the linesman flagged he should have blew his whistle. Absolute shit show. Anyway not taking anything away from Bishops superb side great set up lovely place and a very good welcoming from the committee and club officials.

I see the Washington game was postponed again.
Their circumstances are becoming a bit of a shambles, the slightest amount of rain and they can’t play. It was the same last season leaving them with lots of games left in the final couple of weeks.
Surely the league needs to be having a closer look at things.

Wouldn't say becoming I'd say it's at that point now. The league look at what suits. How manys that this season been called off. Roll on winter eh.

Definitely needs league intervention, for a new setup their pitch clearly needs major attention. Wait till winter arrives. There's quite an interchange on "X" with the Prudhoe manager not altogether surprising when the game was called off when the players were warming up.

I thought they would of looked very closely in pre season to try and resolve the issues. Now they may have done i don't know but if they have it clearly hasn't worked. How many more need to be called off before the league step in? and what realistically could they do? Make them play at another ground? on the 4G next to their ground perhaps or ford hub. Not ideal but it simply cant go on the way it is.

Bishops Heritage Park original pitch was no different, even with adequate drainage system installed from the outset, the club since has spent well over £200,000 on it, we played Middlesbrough in the poring rain once the ground was open and it showed even then that evening. The soil structure laid was a concern as not leaving it to settle for at least 9 months, route courses. Penrith had similar issues and now opted for a 3G.
Washington if they can gain another Service Level Agreement with the Ford Hub this season will then give them the breathing space to address the concerns with their pitch, or a groundshare with Northern League and FA approval.

Yep send them to the good old ford hub. The go to place when you don't have a ground or when the one you've got isn't upto it. League had every chance last season to get a grip of this. Obviously weren't bothered now this situation is just making a mockery of the league.

When your getting these wrong as a referee it's time to chuck the towel in I'm afraid. They don't come any easier than this. I'm glad for the Referees sake they weren't playing West Auckland or someone like that. Embarrassing. Absolute farcical.

I hate the hubs but surely its better than not being bale to play October - February

Them 4g pitches at Washington aren't upto northern league standard. No stands or anything.
