Bad day all round for Northallerton. Their 1st had a bad day, but not as bad as their Reserves who were battered 19-0 at Darlington Utd in the NRL.

They looked decent when we played them at Birtley . That might sound a bit stupid but they played some really good stuff on the night. It was a far closer game than the 5-0 score line suggests

So simple to understand the predicament of Northallerton Town - Hutchinson and Davis. Sorry to be so blunt but there is an obvious pattern here.

Eddie and Maz deserve much better from these lads considering the money the will be getting.

As far as I’ve heard, they are paying their players a decent wack for that level. If this is correct, all they can achieve this season is winning the league and a few cups. Promotion is a non-starter now what do the players get out of battering clubs week in week out. I used to watch my lad play kids football and there were always a couple of clubs that had signed every decent player in the vicinity and they won every game by rugby scores. With gloating parents cheering that their little Jonny had scored double figures in 7 games in a row. What’s the point and what are they learning. At least Grangetown BC are probably going to apply for promotion this season, they might not win anything but they will achieve so much more.

I think they all went back to redcar Newmarket, but haven’t got a clue where they play or what the ground is like. Guessing they have just all stuck together after things fell apart, but don’t know if they are still splashing the cash. I thought all those promises would have faded with the previous owner (or whatever he was).

As for us all sticking together when we have been through what we have, where’s the problem with that? A lots of friends having a kick about for 90 minutes, winning a game and going for a few pints and something to eat. Where’s the problem with that? We can achieve what we can achieve, promotion isn’t the be all and end all, it gets lads out on a Saturday to have a kick about who seem to be really good at football.

I think it’s great that you have all stuck together, if the money has gone and you are just playing for the love of the game.
