As Bishops' are the final NL side left in the competition I think it is worthy of its own thread...
This tie has a big game feel about it despite only being the 2nd Qualifying Round and Bishops' will be backed by good numbers on Saturday with a supporters coach en route along with plenty fans making their own way by cars and trains.
Bishops' go into it as huge under dogs such is Shields position in the pyramid (Step 2) and also the fact that they are full time!
I reckon a crowd anywhere between 1,500 - 2,000 can be expected providing a very decent 'payday'.
Bishops' last made this stage of the competition in the 2016-17 season, reaching the 4th and final qualifying round where Stockport County proved too strong an opposition.
Come on Bishops', lets put up a good showing and do ourselves justice on the day!

Really looking forward to the game, and seeing the ground improvements at South Shields, Bishops nothing to lose apart from their pride, but in the FA Cup there are always shocks, remember being absolutely hammered at South Shields during Colin Myers first spell with the club, opposition from teams in higher step leagues are so well organised, physically stronger, Bradford Park Avenue away in the FA cup were too strong for us on the day as Stockport County were, a replay would be brilliant though.

I'm looking forward to this game, though I confess I'm going to need a couple of pre-match strong lagers to get me through the nerves. Just hoping that the blues can give them a game and that it doesn't get away from them early on. I remember those games against both Stockport and Bradford Park Avenue, but I think this one will be tougher still. I have some memories of those Colin Myers days too and remember all too well an absolute thumping we got at Shields. A replay would be great and it's going to be a nice pay day, but I wish it was 5pm tomorrow and I was heading to the bus smiling!

Agree with Jambon, Shields being full time with that extra quality counted, and the Bishops push them all the way, amazed with the ground improvements, all credit and good luck in the next round South Shields

Came away pleasantly suprised how well we faired today despite the 2 late goals from Shields - both set pieces.
Home onslaught never came today which is credit to our teams performance. Thought we always carried a threat despite not creating any huge clear cut chances and looked very composed on the ball all game.

Very impressive effort from Bishop's. The facilities at Shields are a credit to the club and I wish them all the best for their rest of their season
