Bishops 4 Northallerton 1 masterclass of football today could of been more but the ref decided 2 blatant penaltys were good tackles Northallerton were nonexistent in midfield. But did score a great goal 👏. Plus great support from their fans and a drum 🥁. Good set of lads

Must be close to a record for goals scored today. Is the standard slipping or what. Never seen Boldon beating Blue Star coming.

Been like thar for a season or two now, some right drubbings, some teams in league now like pub teams. The struggles promoted teams to the northern premier have had lately also shows how the standards rose at that level has gone up vastly

Well played again Bishops' on a hot day at Heritage Park.
Allerton scored a great equaliser but apart from that didn't offer much and their midfield kept emptying leaving Bishops with acres of space to exploit.

A few have predicted a two horse race between Blyth and Blue Star. Nice to see them getting pegged back by other teams. They're both beatable as we've seen over recent weeks.
Personally I'm pleased to see this. Allegedly, lots of cash floating about at both teams. Lots of good, competitive teams in division two and understimate them at your peril.

The struggles promoted teams to the northern premier have had lately also shows how the standards rose at that level has gone up vastly There’s 15 NE teams above the northern league in the pyramid. Ten years ago that was 4 or 5. Let’s say each team has a squad of 18 players and most are local, that’s around 150 players who would have been playing in the ENL through lack of opportunity are now playing higher in the pyramid. So you could say that the last ten years of promotion has taken around 150 of the best northern league players out of that division. It’s easy to see why some teams are floating to the top.

Pretty much yeah and will be more in northern premier going forward as there will be 2 guaranteed promotion places up for grabs from end of the season

Hopefully they can avoid the bottom 2 places and build on next season
