30-0 win in a cup game today for Killingworth. Seen this on twitter, anything happen to make the score so stupid? Loads of reds or something? Not sure why they are playing to that point in a cup game at such a low level like

Sounds pretty pathetic. I don't understand why they kept going when they scored 10....or then 20....or then 25....

Have the players been drug tested, you never know if David Borley’s still involved from his 19 years holiday home….

ironic, since Simonside (I presume a different incarnation?) had a Wearside team in the the 20/21 season that absolutely tanked goals, I think they once lost 19-0 to Wheatley Hill WMC (another club which no longer exists).

Not sure about simonside but wasn’t there a wearside league club called jarrow who got tanked alot, once got beat 30-0 or something

Simonside certainly existed though, it seems this video from YouTuber Dan Bell is the only record of their existence that's left. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeZnDx8L7j4

I wonder if this simonside ended up changing there name to jarrow

Think they played in the tyneside amateur league aswell. They definitely had a few seasons in the Savacentre washington league which then became the Durham alliance league which is now no more. That jarrow team had no connection at all to the current northern league jarrow. They were called Jarrow Gold then wrapped in but I'm sure the lad who had them then started a team called simonside again nowt to do with the old simonside. They got humped for a whole season then wrapped up.

From memory Simonside SC as they were know played in the Durham Alliance league. I was in the MC as press officer . They did quite well but were one of the few teams that left the league Due to one Man who will be known to all that competed in the Durham alliance. Simonside SC became Harton & Westoe for a short time , they played in the Northern Alliance where if my memory serves me right they eventually played in the wearside league . Not sure if they then joined forces with Boldon . Simas old chairman Bob who sadly passed away a not so long ago was an absolute Diamond of a bloke along with his side kick.
Anyway Ryton reserves were definitely on the wrong end of a 36 goal hammering by Simonside . They folded a couple of weeks later.

That's correct Big C Bob Grey was the simonside chairman and he was a great bloke proper football man. When Harton and westoe wrapped a few of the committee went over to Boldon CA. You mention diamond it was actually a bloke called Gordon Diamond who managed them for a bit.
