Billingham Synthonia 1-0 Billingham Town
This was a feisty and gripping match with action at both ends throughout, albeit little in concrete chances. Town seemed to have a lot more chances than Synners, especially in the second half when John Stephenson and Billy Nevitt were frequently challenging the Synthonia defence, who managed the game extremely well. As the second half went on it seemed a Town winner was far more likely, but Synthonia themselves got forward and Dec Brown found the ball with his head in a crowded box late in the game, an incident after said goal (which I could barely see from where I was stood) resulted in Town getting reduced to ten men which basically sealed the result despite Town frantically trying to get back in it. Town look far better than their 18th placement suggests, Synners on the other hand won the game without playing the most attractive of football, but I suppose that's how effective and well managed teams tend to win big games such as these.

Doesn’t really add up with Jay saying it was an easy 3 points!! His arrogance always shines through.
