Friday evenings friendly fixture saw a good crowd of 600+ and Bishops competed well for the first half, thought we played some decent enough stuff when we had the ball without creating a great deal. Second half Darlington changed most of their line up while Bishops' only made a couple of changes due to player availability. This certainly told and the game got away from Bishops with some good football from the visitors and some good goals.
Trialist keeper did pretty well for Bishops' and I saw enough first half to know we will be more than ok come competitive action.

When certain other teams have been walloped in friendly matches because of player availability you reckoned the season forthcoming wasn't looking to promising for them. Or is this different because it's Bishops.

Thought that was a very disappointing performance by Bishops and offered very little , especially after a very good display the week before at Whitby. The team however was far from our strongest, with three unknown trialists playing. Still think we should be good enough for at least a mid-table finish.

Yes would say a mid table would be the bottom end of aims / expectation, im pretty confident of a play off challenge or better.

Well different comments here Bishop were going to walk this league finish 29 points ahead of Newton Aycliffe must of had reality check on there 3 lacklustre performances in there 3 friendlies might be looking at a relegation battle instead

Bishops' will be fine. We will be slugging it out with Dunston and Ashington toward the upper echelons of the league. Aycliffe, Consett and Heaton Stannington all below mid table.

Only lacklustre performance was against Darlington which wasn’t surprising based on the team that was fielded with a number of trialists playing from the start.

Hey rat catcher the mighty Bishops turned over again. Don't tell me player availability. Hardy gone by November.
