Blyth Town 2 Bishop Auckland 3 Another trophy to add to the ever expanding cabinet. Discuss! It wasn't so long back you were saying how unimportant this game was. Nothing to discuss then really is there. You don't half contradict yourself sometimes. show me the post were I said that ?

Apologies jambon ill hold my hands up. It was ratcatcher who said it. The guy who's never stopped bleating on about this unimportant piece of silverware. My bad.

Almost as if he's a sad little troll desperate for attention. Have you seen the state of the Northern Prem forum since ratty and his chums infected it?

Well done Bishops. Not sure if we have won the Cleator Cup before, but if not another trophy to add to Bishops' huge collection.
A good win in all honesty against a side who perhaps are fancied in NL Div 1 this coming season and noticed Marcus Giles got on the scoresheet for Blyth.
Bishops' starting XI not yet at full strength by any means so a satisfying afternoon.

NPL Bishops' beat NL 1st Division Blyth Town to win the annual NL curtain raiser - the Cleator Cup - on Saturday.
Bishops' again fielded a starting line up featuring several 'trialists' and took the lead through Brandon Holdsworth. Blyth quickly turned the game around with a couple of goals before half time. Bishops over powered the hosts with Louis Johnson equalising on 70 minutes then Adam Gell winning it with a deflected shot.
Well done Bishops!

I was at the Esh game last night and wouldn't want to hear the screams that the Durham Corinthians player was making ever again but looked like a fair challenge by the Esh player.
The grass looked far too long on the pitch though as I've never played the game properly I've no idea if that may have played a part. Good turnout from DCFC followers

Not a good night for injuries as Josh Crews at Seaham suffered a double leg break.

Really really bad knee injury, thankfully nearer the far touchline, players asking for an ambulance within literally a minute of it happening. I'm told the lad has had a previous injury to that knee. According to DCFC players there was visible bone
