It's looking incredibly tight for the play offs in Div 2 now. there are 5 or 6 teams that could realistically be in the play offs. It will be a very interesting end to the season, Even teams who have been up there all season like Blue Star are beginning to have a wobble. Easington Horden Bedlington Blue star. Not in that order by the way.

Was at Tow Law tonight and have to say that Stan are the best team I've seen in the NL this season. Law didn't even get close to laying a glove on them, they were just faster, better and more clever. Nice to see a decent away turnout in less than great conditions too Cant have been that many there , the whole crowd was 79 and that will include hoppers and some home support

Was at Blue Star last night. Very ordinary performance against a visiting Ryton side and, whilst having a lot of possession not much to trouble their stopper. 2-0 win to Ryton was a fair result.

Blyth 21 points clear at the top of the win tonight. Has there ever been as good a points advantage . Think they can be crowned champions officially if they win next 2. What a season they have had

Their form since the manager left has been poor, especially lately. They should still make the play offs, thanks to their early season form but I can't see them going up which I never thought I'd say last summer.

Just had a look and their form is actually worse than i thought. 2 wins in 7 and some tricky looking games coming up, Including Blyth twice. Not really what you want heading into the play offs.

Newcastle Uni & Prudhoe YC Seniors both play on Prudhoe Town's ground so it probably has taken a hammering recently.
